Southern Tanzania

Authentic, wild and private

Southern Tanzania

A Tanzania safari in Southern Tanzania is perfect for those who are after something more raw, private, adventurous yet luxurious. The National Parks, Nyerere (formerly called the Selous Game Reserve) and Ruaha, are less travelled compared to Tanzania's Northern Parks and offer fantastic walking and water based activities.

Nyerere National Park

Wonderfully wild and atmospheric, Nyerere National Park (formerly called the Selous Game Reserve) is a game-rich riverine wilderness of savannah, forest and lakes. Nyerere National Park has the best selection of safari activities of all Tanzania's National Parks. You can walk, boat and fly camp here - the boating safaris being the stand out attraction.

Ruaha National Park

Often overshadowed by the larger parks on Tanzania's Northern Circuit, Ruaha's remote location makes it a perfect destination for those seeking somewhere off the beaten track, wild and adventurous.

Zanzibar Archipelago

A tropical paradise just a short scenic flight away. With stunning waters, sandy beaches and Swahili charm, these spice running islands make the perfect beach finish to any safari. We would always opt for a beach finish here over moving countries, purely as the travel is so seamless it becomes part of the fun.
